About Compress PDF
This compressor re-renders each page as an optimised image and rebuilds the PDF, which can shrink scanned or image-heavy documents dramatically. Because pages become images, text in the compressed copy cannot be selected or searched, so keep your original if you need that.
If a file is already well optimised and cannot get smaller, the tool tells you and keeps the original.

Will the quality suffer?
Light and Balanced levels look good on screen and in print for most documents; Strong trades detail for size.
Why can I not select text afterwards?
Pages are rasterised to achieve the saving. Keep the original for searchable text.
What if my PDF gets bigger?
