Worked exampleWhat is 15% of 240? 240 × 15 ÷ 100 = 36.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate a percentage increase?
Subtract the old value from the new one, divide by the old value, then multiply by 100. Use the "percentage change" box.
How do I take 20% off a price?
Use "Add or subtract a percentage", enter the price and 20, and choose "Subtract".
Why is 50% up then 50% down not the same?
Because the second change applies to a bigger number. 100 → 150 → 75, which is a net 25% drop.
