How GPA Is Calculated

Grade Point Average (GPA) on the standard US 4.0 scale is a credit-weighted average: each course grade is converted to grade points, multiplied by the course's credit hours, and the results are summed and divided by the total credit hours.

Standard grade points used

A = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D+ = 1.3, D = 1.0, F = 0.0

Add every course you want included, enter its letter grade and credit hours, and the calculator instantly computes your weighted GPA.
