About this calculator

The formula
Current grade = Σ (score × weight) ÷ Σ weights
Worked exampleTest 80% (weight 30) and essay 90% (weight 20) → (2,400 + 1,800) ÷ 50 = 84%.
Frequently asked questions
Do weights need to total 100?
No. Completed weights can total less; the rest is "remaining" work.
What is the target for?
It tells you the average score needed on all remaining work to hit it.
Is extra credit allowed?
Enter scores above 100 if your course allows it.
