About this tool

Use the timer to count down from any duration and hear an alarm when it ends, or switch to the stopwatch to time something and record laps. Keep the tab open for the alarm to sound.

The formula

Remaining = end time − current time (it stays accurate even if the tab is busy)
Worked exampleA 25-minute focus timer followed by a 5-minute break is the classic Pomodoro cycle.

Frequently asked questions

Will the alarm sound if I switch tabs?

Usually yes, but some browsers throttle background tabs. Keep the page open and the volume up.

How accurate is it?

It is based on the system clock, not a counter, so it does not drift.

Can I time laps?

Yes, in stopwatch mode press Lap.
